We want a Product Manager to help build a fully automated, data-driven platform, integrating with numerous external partners, to provide a customer with a frictionless experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to scope out, help design the technology platform that will drive Sugar’s customer self-service portal, credit check, loan management and financing process.


  • Responsible for the product planning throughout the Product Lifecycle
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements
  • Work closely with engineering, sales, credit risk to understand revenue and customer satisfaction goals and thus ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective
  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple engineering teams
  • Work with external third parties for data access and to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products
  • Represent the customer (be a proxy) within the development process  
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog 
  • Work with QA and prioritize issues and tickets
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives  
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval


  • Excellent research experience and strong product management experience
  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English communication
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Team-player with solid communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and effectively in a small team setting
  • Self-starter to drive change and manage results

Nice To Have

  • Someone who understands automation and serverless platforms (AWS)
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring/core banking products
  • A person with experience in designing and building financial technology platforms, especially within the lending space
  • Direct experience of working and integrating with Experian, Equifax, CreditSafe or similar platforms
  • FinTech experience
